WHAT IS H2S AWARENESS TRAINING?

H2S Awareness helps employees become familiarized with the properties of hydrogen sulfide, as well as the potential sources of exposure.

During this safety course, workers are introduced to different protective measures they must abide by in case of H2S hazards, such as wearing mandatory protective equipment and testing for atmspheric hazards. Employees are also taught how to appropriately respond in case of a hydrogen sulfide emergency.

WHO NEEDS H2S AWARENESS TRAINING?

The H2S Awareness certificate is suitable for any workplace where hydrogen sulfide may be encountered throughout daily operations. This is not a H2S Alive course, which may be required by drilling and/or oil processing operations in Alberta. 

This course should take approximately 2 hours to complete.

Once competed you will be able to print out a course completion certificate valid for 36 months (3 years).

LENGTH: 2 HOURS

You must have unique emails for each person being registered for the course - you cannot register multiple people under the same email address

  • Training may be paused or resumed at any time.
  • You may require additional workplace specific training by your employer.
  • A minimum score of 75% is required to pass this course.
  • You will have 2 attempts to pass and your final score will be printed on your certificate.

A student is anyone in (or returning to/starting in the fall) High School, College, University, Private Skills Training School, or who is participating in their apprenticeship for their respective trade.

Please contact us, or have your Case Worker contact us, if you are receiving Employment Insurance or other training assistance to gain employment as you may be eligible for a discount on your course.

Day rates are available for companies booking full classes. Additional fees such as travel costs may be on top of the training fee depending on distance.

I CAME IN WITH ZERO KNOWLEDGE ON ANY OF THE THERMS USED (ROPE GRAB, LANYARD), SO A REALLY BASIC RUN OVER WOULD BE GOOD.
